J Peters Grill & Bar - Mauldin: Delight in Flavorful Comfort Food

Super size portions, salads with bacon, eggs, and cheese you can really taste we are happy. My wife's 1st statement was 'Steak, you taste steak not a bunch of seasoning.' I as a good husband I am said yes ma'am it's very good. Mekiah was wonderful.

Tried this for date night. We went on a Friday evening just after 8:00. I was surprised by the lack of diners. Then I saw the restaurant does close at 9:00 PM. The service was excellent. We were seated immediately. Our server greeted us and took our drink order promptly. The appetizer came out quickly and we had adequate time to finish it before the entre. For the appetizer we ordered the Jalapeño Queso. The jalapeño added a nice but soft kick of heat. The chips were crisp. My wife ordered the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. It came on a penne pasta and had great flavor. We would absolutely order it again. I ordered the 10 oz Sirloin Steak with the loaded mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly, has a great season, and was much more tender than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. I would absolutely order this again as well. My two complaints: - Our table was not bussed properly beforehand. There were a few bigger food crumbs and sticky spots. - The bar tender had three or four patrons at the bar, and decided he needed to talk extremely loud the whole time (we were not at the bar).

We had a group of 10 people and our Server, LaRhonda, was very efficient! She did an outstanding job from ordering to serving. She was attentive and friendly and smiled during the entire meal. We appreciate the quality of service, the delicious food preparations and relaxing atmosphere! We'll Be back!

Wonderful lunch. Got a house salad and it did not disappoint. The roll was also delicious with sweetness drizzled on it. Next was cheese burger and fries. Cheese burger was so good and had a very good flavor. Fries were nice and crisp on outside with a tender inside. I had a spiked pink lemonade also very good. Was disappointed in beer selection. Would definitely recommend!

The service and food was great! We arrived and thought we would have to wait 45 min. But we're seated in about 15. The food was brought out pretty quickly. The fries shrimp was very good and I would say the prime rib steak sandwich was also very good! Yeah we will going back soon Update - still excellent service! Food was great and portions were large! No wait on a Saturday night. Best prime rib dip sandwich in town!

Very delicious grilled chicken salad. The chicken was cooked to perfection and not to mention the croissant. It is a very large salad, so come with your appetite! I had to take some leftover

We love J. Peters! Our second time at this location and it was a great experience. Excellent service, delicious food with hearty portions, and great prices. It was nearly full at lunch...a popular spot! We enjoyed the house salads and my wife added blackened salmon. The croissants are dangerously tasty! I went with the veggie side dishes... everything was great.
